Dear Customers,

Due to the dynamic increase in crude oil prices resulting from the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East, which directly impacts transportation costs, we would like to inform you that carriers have introduced a fuel surcharge (BAF).

As a freight forwarding company, we are obliged to include this surcharge in the transport rates we offer. The BAF will be calculated as a percentage of the base freight rate and added to the transportation price presented in our quotations.

Fuel surcharge rules:

  • Date of introduction: March 9, 2026 – valid until further notice
  • Basis for calculation: wholesale price of Ekodiesel diesel fuel published by PKN ORLEN
    (https://www.orlen.pl/en/for-business/fuel-wholesale-prices#fuels-archive)
  • Surcharge amount: as per the attached table
  • Update frequency: the surcharge is determined once a week – every Friday preceding the week in which it will apply (valid for the entire week)
  • Import: surcharge calculated based on the day (week) of delivery to the customer
  • Export: surcharge calculated based on the day (week) of loading at the customer’s site
  • Example calculation: for a wholesale price of PLN 6.15, an 11% surcharge should be applied
  • Scope of application: FCL container shipments, FTL shipments, LCL and LTL deliveries
